How To Build Mailing Lists Using Articles

Article marketing and list building are still the two most effective marketing methods you can use. As an Internet marketer you absolutely need to concentrate your efforts on building mailing list. The easiest way to do that is to use articles marketing.

How does it work?

Its simple! You start by submitting articles to the article directories. There is a countless number of article directories you can use. Here is a list of top 50 article directories. Before submitting, you should always make yourself familiar with the "rules" for submitting. This is because some article directories review your article before it's published on the Net.

Playing by rules will save you time and energy you would have to otherwise use by correcting and re-submitting your article. You can write articles on any topic you like. This of course depends on the nature of your business.

The next step in building mailing lists using articles is creating opt-in form that will collect contact details. Your article provides link (in the resource box) that directly links to your opt-in page. The key is to provide reader with a compelling reason to click through to opt-in page from your article.

Once opt-in page visitor enters details and submits them ,he/she will then be redirected to either a free report or to your affiliate page. Now, when you have subscribers in your mailing list, the key question to ask is: What do I do with them? The answer is -BUILD TRUST!

Remember! The key to making huge profits from your mailing list is to build relationship. You can't simply bombard them with constant offers. When you're building mailing lists using article marketing, you have to remember that article reader was looking for information. That's why you need to first build trust by sending quality, rock-solid content to your list.

Your subscribers don't know you! That's why you can't start bombarding them with offers and promotions. Because if you do, you'll loose them. They simply unsubscribe from your list. Every email you send must have un-subscribe link in it (legal requirement). And to click it is not a rocket science. Your subscriber knows this!
